General Information - Hindelbank Prison
The facility offers 107 places, including an external housing group, and accommodates women from approximately 25 different nations. JVA Hindelbank can accept mothers with young children on a limited basis.
The JVA Hindelbank functions as a correctional facility focusing on the enforcement of penalties and measures in both closed and open environments. The women assigned to the facility live in residential groups and engage in various work areas during weekdays. Additionally, meaningful educational and recreational opportunities are provided to enhance their personal development.
The time spent at Hindelbank aims to prepare the women for successful reintegration into society, enabling them to lead a law-abiding and responsible life after their release.
Safety and security are ensured around the clock within and outside the facility. Multiple security personnel are always on duty, and canine units are deployed at night. The premises are fenced and monitored by surveillance cameras, while modern security technology allows for quick intervention in emergencies.
