Diagrams and charts visualize the project participants’ paths in life. Recurring features are brought out and put into a social context. In the process, patterns and consequences of specific conditions are revealed. Resources used are criminal files, dossiers, and reports from memory of countless interviews – live, by telephone, and in letters – with the participants of all the prison projects since 1997.
